Three Floating Piers in Cilincing Operated

Three floating piers at Cilincing Fish Auction (TPI), North Jakarta has operated. Fishermen can be faster to unload their catch.

This floating pier is made to speed up the process of unloading fish catches

Cilincing Sub-district Head, Purnomo said, at the floating dock, many fishing boats unload their fish catches in turns. Those piers have the size of 3x30 meters, 3x5 meters and 3x10 meters.

"This floating pier is made to speed up the process of unloading fish catches. Because it's directly connected to the fish auction and meet consumers," he stated, when he reviewed the Cilincing TPI's Floating Pier, Thursday (10/26).

Cilincing Floating Dock Construction Completed

It is able to accommodate nine boats to once do the unloading. After being unloaded, the boat goes straight, as it is not allowed to lean for long.

Pandi (48), one of the fishermen admitted he was happy with the existence of floating pier. "It's very helpful for us and traders, as it will no longer costs transportation when the boat is unloading its catch," he told.

As planned, there will be one more piers that will be used for crossing Cilincing to Tanjung Pakis and Tanjung Bungin, Bekasi, West Java. It is on the edge of Cakung Drain that is in Muara Kali.
